Every election, the City of Ottawa asks the candidates across the city to respond to questions about local issues and priorities. I am proud to join my Ontario Liberal Party colleagues across the city to fully address each of these questions in both official languages.
The Ontario Liberal team in Ottawa has been vital in delivering projects that make our city a better place to live and work. We will continue to fight for investments in public transit and the LRT, affordable housing, long-term and palliative care, and key infrastructure projects like revitalizing the Prince of Wales Bridge.
In Ottawa West-Nepean, I am committed to securing funding for the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre for youth in our community who are struggling with addiction. I am committed to working with Algonquin College to get a new Centre of Excellence for the Personal Support Worker program to help relieve the demand for home- and long-term care in our community. I am also committed to fast-tracking more long-term care beds in Ottawa so that our seniors can get the care that they deserve.
On Thursday, Ottawa has a choice. Do we want to leave the future of our city to chance, or do we want experienced, proven leadership at Queen's Park to fight for our interests and priorities?
